It's a little bit difficult to describe, but it helps you break long term goals into baby steps. I am happy that you don't feel like you're too old to achieve certain goals...it's amazing what's possible. The book also has interesting reflections on being a parent who helps children pursue their real dreams. It's an awesome read, that comes along with awesome work. (Like any good "self-help" book, it has exercises that the reader should complete. I was 15. A friend I grew up with left our high school to go to some fancy prep school out East to play hockey and baseball. I remember my father saying that he bet my friend would be a pro athlete some day. I realized right then I myself never would - no way, no how. I decided I'd better start writing instead. By the way, my Dad was right. My friend won the Stanley Cup with the Dallas Stars his rookie year. For my (3 week old) kid, I just hope that I can keep him doing things that give him a chance to feel good about himself. I won't make him play sports if he doesn't want to. I'll even go to his ballet lessons if that's what he wants. No one likes to think about it, but once you have kids, you need a will, you need insurance, you need to legally arrange for guardians in case the unthinkable takes you both away from your children. Here is a question for you. Who do you want raising your kids in case of your early passing.
