eBay's 2012 Mother's Day Gift Guide

With Mother’s Day right around the corner and men being men, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that most of us reading (and writing) this post have yet to begin shopping for the big day. Are you shopping for your one and only mother or will you be buying for the mother (maybe plural depending on your relationship status) of your kids?

My reason for not grasping how close this holiday comes has very little to do with lack of concern for the mothers in my life. But it might have a little to do with being able to outdo myself. Last year I bought my wife a cream-colored Marin California Cruiser complete with cork handles and a stitched leather seat. In any case the fact remains the date is just 14 days away, May 13th.

EBay has been kind enough to provide me with a Mother’s Day gift guide for 2012 to share with you. This is not your mother’s eBay (not that it existed back then). Top of the line brands have set up shop at eBay, fully knowledgeable and respectful of the fact that today’s consumer is digital savvy and price conscious.

What is serious music to my ears is what eBay is doing on the Social Media landscape to celebrate Mom and drive personal engagement between consumer and brand. After you read this post, please be sure to check out:

  1. EBay’s Facebook experience which celebrates Mom via a daily photo sweepstakes. To enter, click here.
  2. Keep and eye on eBay's Twitter account for daily giveaways using the #ebaymom hashtag, and my newest quiet obsession, Pinterest.

FYI, I have a Fatherhood Board on Pinterest. Feel free to follow it and if you do, please let me know on one of my pins or in the comments below.

With most items being shipped free of charge, don't rule out eBay to help put smiles on the faces of the mothers in your life.
