A Father's Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep

I thank the Lord for my heartbeat.

I pray for balance everyday,

for strength and courage to ignore the fray

that would have me worry about everything.

Instead, I pray for the joy each day brings.

I pray that I'm the model I should be,

for all my little ones who look up to me.

I will provide, show guidance and truth,

by using my life, my words and my love as proof.

And when I lay my head down to rest,

I pray I end my day having done my best.
